Good Morning! If you only read this first sentence, our meet will start at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday! Not 8:30 a.m. We are going to do our best to beat the heat. This means changes to warm ups, etc.. PLEASE READ the entire email.

Before we get to the meet details, we need to talk about volunteering...

We're doing so much better with volunteering and it is greatly appreciated. As mentioned in yesterday's email, we are considered the "visiting" team on Saturday. This means we need a head judge. You circle the middle time on the timers sheets and you get to sit in the gazebo under shade. Sound like something you'd like?

Still looking for 1 timer AND 2 roving timers. Our timers will be drinking water, they will need a break. Please check on them as the roving timer.

There is only 1 parent signed up for pool set up on Friday evening....7:00 p.m. Sign up, show up and help us out. Everyone enjoys how great everything looks on Saturday morning. It's not magic that makes it appear ready for everyone's tents. Parents do this work and we need more than 1.

We need some ice. Buy a bag and drop it off Saturday morning. It will be hot, we need it!

Thank you to all those who sign up week after week to make our team great! As a member of Division A, we are part of the largest teams that are the most competitive. We should have no problems filling these positions. There are 103 swimmers signed up for the meet!

Lastly, if you signed up to bring food...please bring it. If you don't remember what you signed up for, go back and look. If you need to bring it early, you can do that. The pool has a fridge.

On to the meet details...

Meet starts at 8:00 a.m.

Pool opens at 6:30 a.m. unless you are one of the few parents who are setting up.

Warm ups start at 7:05 a.m. Arrive no later than 6:50 a.m. Your swimmer needs to be ready to go.

Timers meet at 7:40 a.m.

Officials meet at 7:30 a.m.

If your child is in the first 4 events, they should be at the clerk of course by 7:55 a.m. at the latest. We want to get this meet moving and be on time.

The pickleball courts, the playground and the baby pool are CLOSED during the meet. PLEASE watch your child(ren). They should not be left unattended outside of the pool deck area. Please also have them steer clear of the bridge to the gazebo and the actual gazebo. These areas are only for officials.

No jewelry on while swimming. No writing on your body except for the swimmer's event, heat and lane.

No HCC swimmers or families can sit on the grass side of the pool. This even includes the area in between the gate and gazebo. We allow the visiting team to use this area. MVP has a VERY large team! They will need the space.

Team suits and team caps to be worn at the meet on Saturday. Do not wear other team suits or caps. This is a team rule.

As a reminder, no swimmer shall leave the meet unless they have spoken to Coach MaryJane.

Guppies will swim during the break (after event 46). I do not have an exact time, but I would imagine if you are at HCC by 11:00 a.m. you should be fine. Our older kids will be more than happy to help them down the pool for their first swim.

Once there is a meet program, we will send it out.
