We are a family friendly summer swim team that participates in the Prince-Mont Swim League. We are located in La Plata, MD at the Hawthorne Country Club.
Fees - $95.00 for HCC members; $225 for non-members.
We do practice everyday unless is it thundering/lightening. We do not take attendance; however, practices are only 30-45 minutes and it is great conditioning and exercise for the swimmers.
Our age groups cover 8 and Under through High School. For information about our Guppy Program, please visit our that page. All swimmers must be able to swim 25 meters (the length of the pool) unassisted. For swimmers 8 and under that cannot, please register for our Guppy Program.
Meets are Saturday mornings and last approximately three hours. B Meets may be weeknights or Sundays.
HCC is a part of the Prince-Mont Swim League (PMSL), which was founded in 1959 to sponsor and coordinate age-group competitive swimming programs during the summer months in and among member teams. The intent is to develop in the swimmers participating in this program, a love for the sport, advanced aquatic skills, teamwork, and the principles of good sportsmanship.
