Good Afternoon Gator Parents, looks like a hot week, but storms are headed our way possibly every day this week. If you haven’t downloaded the swimtopia app on your phone, do so now. Be sure to enable the notifications. FYI- the ONLY thing the app is good for is to receive weather notifications from us. You cannot use it to declare a swimmer or volunteer for a job. You must use the website.

Now that we have arrived for our first meet of the season on Saturday, things will start to move fast and furious. Lots of emails with lots of information and it’s important you read all of them so you’ll know what’s going on. I will keep you updated on everything and ask that you meet the deadlines we set.

June 12^th – Time Trials at HCC

June 26^th – 1^st dual meet of the season against Theresa Banks (TB)

Start Time: 8:30 a.m.

Location: HCC

Warm Ups: TBD, email sent week of meet with details

Eligible HCC swimmers only, per PMSL rules, we can swim top 12 swimmers (via time) in freestyle and backstroke and top 6 swimmers in butterfly, breaststroke and IM

July 10^th – 2^nd dual meet of the season against Greenview (GV)

Start Time: 8:30 a.m.

Location: TBD, GV does not have a pool at this time so this detail is still being decided

This is for all of our 10 and under swimmers

Meet has an entry fee for each stroke you register for (approx. $5/stroke)

Fun meet for all of our swimmers, no disqualifications, big ribbons handed out

July 17^th – 3^rd dual meet of the season against Kingfish Swim Club (KSC)

Start Time: 8:30 a.m.

Location: HCC

Warm Ups: TBD, email sent week of meet with details

Eligible HCC swimmers only, per PMSL rules, we can swim top 12 swimmers (via time) in freestyle and backstroke and top 6 swimmers in butterfly, breaststroke and IM

July 18^th – Charles County Championships (CCC)

Start Time: 8:30 a.m.

Location: Bannister Swim (BNS)

Eligible HCC swimmers only, per CCC rules, top two swimmers (via time) are included automatically, in some events we may be able to get our 3^rd or 4^th fastest swimmer into the meet

Email will be sent with those who are swimming with details about the meet

We will only use times from the 1^st 2 dual meets when considering eligibility

This is an invitational- type meet, these times do not count towards eligibility for the Division A Championships

July 24^th – Division A Championships

Start Time: 8:30 a.m.

Location: HCC

Eligible HCC swimmers only, per PMSL rules, top two swimmers (via time) are included automatically

Email will be sent with those who are swimming with details about the meet

We will only use times from the 3 dual meets when considering eligibility

REMINDERS:

• Please declare your swimmers for the meets and sign up for a job. We cannot run a meet without parent volunteers. No parents = no meets
• Be sure to read the Gator Gazette for more information. It was emailed out this morning. It has practice info for this week (Wednesday change) as well as a dinner opportunity on Wednesday night! Brats and Beers!!
• If your child(ren) was moved to another practice time, the coaches would have spoken to your child about it. Otherwise, please remain in the same practice you were in last week.
• Are you on Facebook? If so, sign up for the Gator Parent Facebook Chat and like our page, HCC Gators.
• Gator Poolza is Saturday night – this is our parent party and looks to be full of fun again this year. You need to RSVP in order to guarantee pizza and a coozie party favor. $10/person. 8:00 pm. – Midnight
• Have you signed up to become a Stroke and Turn judge? Take advantage – here’s the sign up for tomorrow’s class.
